University Relations and Communications (URC) strives to promote the value and impact of the university on education, quality of life, and economic development in the northeast Indiana region. Additionally, URC supports community outreach and volunteerism and creates opportunities for the community to be involved in the life of the university.
IPFW is a Carnegie Foundation Community Engagement University, one of 311 in the United States. This distinction was awarded Jan. 5, 2011, by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. URC facilitates collaboration through community events and contributes to the overall unversity effort to be an engaged institution.
