What is the Student Achievement Celebration?
The Student Achievement Celebration is an annual event held to recognize the success of our student leaders, academic excellence, and devoted staff and faculty who are recognized at the formal ceremony. Details below:

To nominate someone, simply use this Online Nomination Form. Make sure to fill out the form completely and accurately before submitting. For each new nomination you must submit a new form. For detailed descriptions of the awards offered and the eligibility information for each see the two award tabs on this page.
All nominations must be submitted online no later than Midnight on Tuesday March 12, 2013.

Outstanding Student Organization Award
- Eligible: Student organizations that have been recognized by the University for at least one full semester.
- Ineligible: IPSGA (Student Government).
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for the IPFW community and students, exhibited IPFW pride, and demonstrated a variety of services during the current academic year.
Student Leader of the Year Award
- Eligible: Students who have completed at least one credit hour in the previous semester and are currently enrolled in at least one credit hour.
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for IPFW students/organizations/others, exhibited IPFW pride, and demonstrated overall leadership during the academic year.
Student Organization Officer of the Year Award
- Eligible: Students who have completed at least one credit hour in the previous semester, are currently enrolled in at least one credit hour, and have served as officers of at least one recognized student organization since the beginning of the academic year.
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for students, organizations, and/or others, exhibited IPFW pride, and demonstrated leadership in his/her organization during the academic year.
Student Organization Member of the Year Award
- Eligible: Students who have completed at least one credit hour in the previous semester, are currently enrolled in at least one credit hour, and are currently members of at least one recognized student organization.
- Ineligible: Student organization officers.
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for their organization, exhibited IPFW pride, and gone above and beyond expectations as a member of their organization during the academic year.
Commitment to Diversity Award
- Eligible: Students who have completed at least one credit hour in the previous semester and are currently enrolled in at least one credit hour; or student organizations that have been recognized by the University since for at least on semester.
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown a commitment to diversity of thought, helped to build an atmosphere where a wide range of views, ideas, and beliefs can be freely shared and respected, and shown support for all member of the IPFW community during the academic year.
Building Block Award
- Eligible: Student organizations that have been recognized for at least one semester.
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for the IPFW community and students, exhibited IPFW pride, and significantly expanded membership/recruitment efforts.
Student Government Member of the Year Award
- Eligible: Students who have completed at least one credit hour in the previous semester, are currently enrolled in at least one credit hour, and have served as members of the Student Senate, Student Activities Board, Judicial Court, or Election Board for at least one semester.
- Ineligible: IPSGA Executive Officers.
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for students/organizations/others, exhibited IPFW pride, gone above and beyond the expectations as a member of IPSGA, and demonstrated leadership in IPSGA during the academic year.

Student Organization Advisor of the Year Award
- Eligible: IPFW staff and faculty who have served as student organization advisors during the current academic year
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for students/organizations/others, exhibited IPFW pride, provided guidance to students, and demonstrated overall leadership during the current academic year
Award for Service to Students
- Eligible: IPFW staff members and departments
- Ineligible: Faculty members
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made an impact on IPFW, shown support for students, exhibited IPFW pride, and demonstrated and represented service in a positive way during the current academic year
Students' Choice Award for Teaching Excellence
- Eligible: IPFW faculty members
- Ineligible: IPFW staff and graduate students
- Judging Criteria: Nominee has made him/herself available to students, engaged students, positively impacted his/her classes and students, and gone above and beyond the requirements of teaching to inspire students to excel during the academic year
