Services

The Mastodon Card Office is the home for your official IPFW University identification card. The Mastodon Card has a variety of features ranging from free Gym access for students to discounts on various off campus vendors, with plans underway to add many more.  In addition, Security badges are offered to select campus departments or approved students to show authorized access when working off campus or in areas other than their home department.

We are conveniently located at the Campus Safety Information Desk in Walb Student Union. We are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come see us for all your Mastodon Card needs.

Eligibility

Students enrolled in the current semester and faculty and staff recognized in the Human Resources system are eligible for a card. Also, alumni and associates (family members of students, faculty, staff, and alumni; or community members) who purchase a membership to the Hilliard Gates Fitness Center or who need to use the Helmke Library may obtain Mastodon Cards.

Receiving Your Card

To obtain a Mastodon Card, please refer to the NEW guideline for obtaining a Mastodon Card in the pdf file below.  Also, when receiving your ID card you will be required to know your "900" number.

The entire process (including your photo) will take less than five minutes.

Costs

Students are responsible for maintaining their Mastodon Card for the duration of their academic career. Your first card is issued free of charge. However, a replacement fee of $20 applies to any replacement cards issued for the next 2-year period. A replacement card issued after the 2-year period is free of charge. The replacement fee is applicable whether your card is lost, stolen or damaged. The replacement fee is not charged for an official name change.

Lost or Stolen Cards

Helmke Library should be alerted if your Mastodon Card is lost or stolen. Since you are responsible for all use of the card issued to you, it is important to report the loss as soon as possible. Also, please alert the Campus Safety Office so the card can be deactivated in the system.

Renewed Privileges

All student Mastodon Cards are electronically updated for Gates Center access within 24 hours of semester registration. Library borrowing privileges are also automatically updated with semester registration.

Faculty, Staff and Associate Cards are renewed for Gates Center access at the time of membership purchase. All other privileges are continuous.
