Research Support Services
We are ready to assist you in many various ways with your research endeavors. Among other support services the Office of Research, Engagement, and Sponsored Programs (RESP):
- Helps identify funding sources
- Acquires application forms and guidelines from potential funding sources
- Provides assistance with proposal development, preparation, and submission
- Will review and critique your grant proposals
- Sponsors faculty travel to funding sources and grants-related seminars or workshops
- Provides training for Fastlane, COS, and Grants Resource Center services
- Serves as the contact point for federal and private agencies
- Acts as liaison between Indiana University Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) and Purdue University VPR offices
- Is the clearinghouse and contact point for all local and system grant programs
- Arranges speakers and seminars on a variety of grants related topics
In addition, RESP:
- Serves as contact point for Institutional Review Board (IRB) questions (campus IRB representative is Jeannie D. DiClementi, PSY.D., psychology)
- Manages all aspects of National Science Foundation's Fastlane for IPFW
- Prepares RESP annual report
- Maintains database of current grant activity
- Coordinates the Undergraduate Research Support Program and Annual Student Research Symposium
