Strategic Priorities: Six Degrees of Connection
Utilizing IPFW's Baccalaureate Framework and its Strategies for Excellence 2008-2014 as guiding documents, Student Affairs has identified six strategic priorities for its work. These priorities have been dubbed the Six Degrees of Connection as they are points of intersection between the two guiding documents where Student Affairs feels it can have particular impact and because each of the priorities focuses on connecting students to their university, their community, and their future goals.
- Promoting student engagement
- Fostering a multicultural and international campus community
- Facilitating opportunities both inside and outside the classroom for student/faculty interaction
- Assisting students in identifying and acting on motivation for graduation
- Developing academic and social capital in our students
- Supporting a well and caring campus community
