American Association of University Women (AAUW) Selected Professions Fellowship: $5,000 to $12,000 to support women in a variety of fields. Eligibility: U.S. citizen; women entering final year of study for a Master’s degree, or entering first or final year of study for a Master’s degree in engineering; or, minority women entering final year of study for a JD or MBA, or planning an EMBA that will be completed by Dec. 31, 2004, or entering third or final year of study for an MD or DO; full-time student.

Goldwater Scholarship: Two-year science, math, or engineering scholarship. Eligibility: full-time sophomore or junior: 3.6 science/ math GPA (pre-med excluded).

ESA Foundation: $500 to $2,500 in any discipline.  Eligibility: full-time student who has maintained a 3.0 GPA throughout his or her college career; character, leadership; and financial need.

Truman Scholarship: Multi-year $26,000 fellowship for graduate work in a public service field. Eligibility: full-time junior (occasionally seniors); 3.5+ GPA; strong off campus public service record.

NSEP David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarship: NSEP awards scholarships to American students for study of world regions critical to U.S. interests. Eligibility: undergraduates and graduates; specific qualifications vary depending on country and level of student.

James Madison Junior Fellowship: Award to support MA, MAT, Med, or MS in constitutional history or political science. Eligibility: plan to teach American history, government, or social studies at the high school level, senior/ first-year graduate standing.

Morris Udall Scholarship: Awards undergraduate scholarships of up to $5,000 to American juniors and seniors in fields related to the environment, and to Native American and Alaska Natives in fields related to health care or tribal policy. Eligibility: sophomore or junior standing.

Worldstudio Foundation Scholarships: $1,000 to $5,000 tuition scholarships and special awards to minority and economically disadvantaged students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the fine or commercial arts, design, or architecture and planning to enter a career in the creative professions.

National Fellowship:

Phi Kappa Phi: $1,500-$8,000. PKP membership; senior or recent graduate; no prior graduate credit; high GPA.  Any field.  U.S. Citizen or International Student.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute: $5,000 to students of Hispanic descent to attend a four-year or graduate level academic institution. Eligibility: U.S. citizen; consistent and active participation in public service-oriented activities.

Rotary Scholarship: Variety of awards to support overseas study. Eligibility: varies with award; two years college study prior to leaving for foreign academic study; undergraduates must be single. Fluency in language of host country required.
