Planning before beginning project work helps set expectations, which increases the likelihood that projects will be delivered on time and meet or exceed client expectations. This does, however, require client feedback and approval that must be provided during the agreed-upon time frame; projects are otherwise subject to delays.
Determining the scope of work ahead of time also minimizes "scope creep," where unplanned additions or changes expand resources and budget. If this does happen, the marketing specialist will inform the client so that, together, they can determine the next steps.
