For personally owned equipment, the only hardware requirment is that you have a wireless card to connect to the wireless network or a network card to connect to the wired network in housing.
Your operating system must be equal to or newer than Windows XP or Mac OS 10.3. Other hardware and operating system requirements are based on your needs and will depend on the software you run and tasks you need to perform.
University owned equipment must meet specific standards in order to operate effectively on IPFW's network and in order to be supported by IT Services. These are minimum requirements only--many computers will need to exceed the standards listed below to provide an effective workstation.
