Jacob started working for IT Services in 2006 as a student worker for systems administration. He then moved on to the role of User Technology Support/Networked Application Specialist student worker in 2007. Following that, he was the Networked Application Specialist student worker. In June 2009, Jacob accepted the position of Networked Application Specialist.

Jacob currently holds both an Associate of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (Computer Option) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology which he received with Highest Distinction Honors. Jacob is currently considering pursuing a Master's degree.

Jacob enjoys computer and console gaming, as well as amateur photography. Jacob was married on June 27, 2009 to Nicole Roth, whom he met at a church function. Jacob and Nicole are now getting settled into their first home together with their cat, Cadence, and Golden Retriever, Sandy.
