How much can I print in the labs?
Every student begins each semester with an 800 page ($40) printing quota. Once the allotment has been used, you may go to the Bursar's office to add money to your account in $5 (100 sheet) increments. Printers & Printing
How do I get wireless on campus?
You must configure your laptop or phone before you can connect. Wireless at IPFW
All computers must have an antivirus program that is up to date and supports "real time scanning" as well as the latest operating system updates and critical patches. Access to the internet is denied if you do not meet the requirements. Getting connected to the Internet in housing
How do I forward my email to another address?
Because email is the official means of communication at IPFW, if you do not plan to read your IPFW email, you should forward it to an address you do read. Forwarding student email to another address
Can I connect a game console in housing?
Xbox 360 and Wii consoles can be connected to the wired network only. No special configuration is necessary. Other game consoles cannot be connected to the internet in housing at this time.
What is eLearning or Blackboard?
eLearning/Blackboard is a course management system IPFW uses for online teaching. It is used for internet-only classes and also as a supplemental tool for face-to-face classes.
Do I get web space as a student?
Every student automatically gets web space when their account is created. Student Web Space
Can I get free computer training?
Students receive free training workshops for software applications from the Center for Academic Support and Advancement (CASA). The program for this training is called STEPS: Student Technology Education Programs. The workshops are free and do not require registration.
