IPFW offers conditional admission to students who meet academic requirements for admission and who require additional English language proficiency training. Students who submit a completed application and provide all supporting documentation that meet IPFW’s admission requirements may receive a conditional admission letter.
Students who have not met English proficiency requirements for full admission to either an undergraduate of graduate degree program are referred to apply to ELS Language Center / Fort Wayne, located on the campus of IPFW.
ELS offers Intensive Academic English instruction, (30 hours per week) organized over 4-week sessions. Four weeks are required to complete each level in the 12-level curriculum. Students who successfully complete ELS level 112 will satisfy IPFW English language proficiency requirements for full admission into an academic program.
Students should indicate on the IPFW application for admission that they would like to be considered for conditional admission and attend the ELS Language Center / Fort Wayne at IPFW.
