Eligibility for F1 Visa:
To be eligible for a new F-1 visa, you must have been accepted to IPFW, and issued an I-20 form. You will need the SEVIS ID number, the IPFW school code (CHI214F10460001) and your passport to proceed.
Starting the Entry process:
- To begin the entry process, you must pay the $200 SEVIS fee to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) BEFORE entering the United States to begin your studies. You can use the SEVIS identification number and IPFW's school code given above. If at all possible, we encourage you to pay the SEVIS fee online.

- Please remember that you may enter the states within 30 days prior to the start date on your I-20 form (item #5 on your I-20).
- Since you are accepted to IPFW as an international student for full-time study, your information has been entered to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). A SEVIS I-20 form is issued to you to apply for an F-1 Student Visa.
