IPFW Intramural Fitness - New Schedule Posted (See bottom right panel for file)

IPFW Intramurals is excited to bring you Free Fitness Classes.  As part of our commitment to bringing more activities, we will be offering two (2) eight week sessions of classes.  Classes are scheduled on 4 week cycles.  Some classes may change and some may stay the same  Please check at the Fitness Studio GC 131 or Athletic Center Check in Desk for Changes.  
 
Here is a brief description of each class.  All classes are designed for all fitness levels for both males and females.  Classes are free to IPFW and Ivy Tech Students as well as IPFW Faculty and Staff who have a membership to the Gates Center.
 
20/15/10: 20 minutes cardio intervals to get your cardio on, 15 minutes of strength training, followed by 10 minutes of wonderful abdominal exercises to firm and finish.
 
 
Pilates Mix: Learn how to strengthen and tone your body with Pilates. This is not your ordinary workout. Learn the simple techniques to get a full body workout. This class is for all age and fitness levels.
 
Turbo Kick: This awesome rocking class will take you to an aerobic HIGH! Kick punch and dance away the calories. You can burn up to 600 calories in a single workout.
 
Zumba: Nobody leaves this class without a great feeling! Latin inspired dance moves with great music turns this class into a PARTY! Come celebrate ZUMBA!
 
 
Body Pump: Bodypump is a Les Mills class and is a full-body workout; a mix of aerobic exercise and weight training. During a 1 hour (or 45 minute) class you will target all your major muscle groups using a barbell, bench and weights. All movement is choreographed to a music track which is especially designed for the classes.
 
 
Fitness Expres “Get ‘er DONe”: Like the name implies –With easy to follow instructions, this class is a mixture of training regimes to help you get leaner, stronger, faster by utilizing your own body weight, dumb bells, kettle balls, barbell lifting as well as plyometric, and flexibility workouts that are sure to make you cry, but when you see the results you will be coming back for more.
 
PiYo: A unique class designed to build strength & gain flexibility. The moves fit perfectly together to form a class filled with intense choreography that’s fun, challenging and will make you sweat. It’s about energy, power, and rhythm. Think sculpted abdominals, increased overall core strength, and greater stability.

Piloxing: Uniquely mixes Pilates and Boxing moves into a fat torching, muscle sculpting, core-centric interval workout, guaranteed to whip you into shape, using a class format that is both fun and challenging.
 
Spin Express:  Group cycling is an unmatched way to make your fitness goals a reality. With no complicated moves to learn, a motivating group environment and music that begs your legs to pedal, you’ll find yourself having a blast while you ride your way to a leaner and stronger body in this 30 minute introduction to Spinning.

 
Cost:  Free
 
First 20 IPFW Students/faculty or staff for each class. Please check in with your ID card at the Athletic Center Customer Service Desk.  Classes are limited to the first 20 people.  Unfortunately we can not allow you to pre-sign up for the classes, they are offered as first come, first served.  If needed we will open more sessions.

Classes are 45 min  long.
