Form Printing Problems

Some of the forms found on the Human Resources Web site won't print correctly on every printer without adjusting printer settings. Part of the form may look ok, but other parts appear to be characters placed randomly on the page.

The easiest solution, if you have that option, is to print to another printer instead. If you don't have that option, or have the same problem with the alternative printer, try the following:

• Open the form
• On the menu line, choose File, Print
• Select the desired printer
• Click on the Advanced button at the bottom
• If not already selected, click on the PostScript Options menu item on the left
• Click to put a checkmark in the Print as Image box
• You may want to change the dpi setting -- the smaller the number, the lower the quality of the printing, but the quicker your printer will print. You shouldn't need this setting to be higher than 300.
• Click on OK
• Click on OK again to print

Note: Printing the form as an image should solve the problem but will take significantly longer to print.
