Center for Enhancement of Learning and Teaching

CELT

The Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) supports the Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne core mission by promoting excellence in teaching and learning and by encouraging the creation and sharing of knowledge. The purpose of CELT is to help faculty become reflective practitioners who seek opportunities to learn from and with their students and who continually assess the effectiveness of their teaching practices in light of student learning. At the same time, CELT enhances the teaching and learning environment by providing a single “front door” to the variety of resource providers required in order to teach in today’s classroom.

CELT relies on the advice, support, talents, and energy of IPFW faculty. A faculty advisory board helps direct CELT activities, and members frequently lead CELT workshops.

CELT collaborates with other IPFW departments, such as the Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) to ensure that faculty receive quality service in support of teaching.
