STEPS - Computer Workshops

Need help with a computer program?

STEPS (Student Technology Education ProgramS) offers the following workshops free to IPFW students:

  • Microsoft Word - an introduction to word processing
  • Setting up APA and MLA papers
  • Making the most of your IPFW Account: Email, I drive (personal network space, my.ipfw.edu
  • OneNote - effective note taking on your pc
  • Microsoft PowerPoint -creating a presentation
  • Creating & publishing a Simple Web Page Design
  • A walk through eLearning (Blackboard)
  • Photoshop 1 - designing with colors, pictures, & text
  • Photoshop 2 - working with digital pictures
  • Microsoft Excel - entering information & using formulas

The IPFW Center for Academic Support & Advancement (CASA) and Information Technology Services, working together, offer these workshops to provide students with computer-mediated communication stills needed for college and beyond.

Workshop Information

  • Workshops are held in a computer lab so students can participate actively
  • Workshops are 50 to 90 minutes in length
  • Students will be provided a guide for future reference
  • Workshops are FREE for IPFW students
  • No sign up is necessary; just arrive at the correct time in the room indicated on the schedule
  • Students are welcome to bring a USB flash drive to save files
