Karen Campbell

Assistant Director of Career Development

As the Assistant Director of Career Development, Karen is responsible for the following:

• Designs the Career Connections newsletter, conducts outreach events and presentations, and assists with marketing
• Coordinates the career development month in November and the job fair prep sessions
• Acts as the primary contact for collaboration with IPFW faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences
• Provides general career counseling to students and alumni, including interpreting career assessments and choosing a major
• Co-teaches EDUC x210 Career Planning Class

Karen became part of Career Services in 2007. She received a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University with a major in Recreation and Tourism. She is an active member of the Career Development Professionals of Indiana, American Counseling Association, American College Counseling Association and the National Career Development Association. She is also a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Ohio. Karen is also qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, Strong Interest Inventory , FOCUS and Self-Directed Search.
