Taryn Parker chose IPFW because she didn’t want to compromise on doing what she loves. Parker, a 2011 Visual Design graduate and former Mastodon volleyball player, wanted to discover a way to combine her two greatest passions—design and athletics—into a successful and rewarding career.

Parker decided IPFW was right for her. Our graphic design program (and professional writing minor), prestigious IU and Purdue degrees, Division I athletics, and opportunities to build a strong portfolio could help her reach the next level. From western Michigan, Parker was especially thrilled that IPFW was close enough to allow her family and friends to attend her games.

Parker now works with the graphic design team for the Denver Broncos to create team promotions for print and Web, including fliers, signage, yearbooks, billboards, and more. Her talents are seen by millions of football fans each year.

At IPFW, Parker found out that she didn’t have to compromise to get to the next level—and that options could easily become opportunities for an exciting future.
