FORT WAYNE, Ind.—What does “Obamacare” mean for business and healthcare in Fort Wayne? That’s the question a panel of local professionals will be answering Monday, October 22, at noon in Neff Hall, Room 101. The panel discussion will be moderated by Assistant Professor of Philosophy Abraham P. Schwab.
The panelists are:
- Raymond Dusman, M.D., MBA, chief physician executive, Parkview Health
- Kathy Carrier, president and CEO, Briljent and Keepsake Threads
- Rick Cochran, president and CEO, Physician’s Health Plan of Northern Indiana Inc.
- Jonathan D. Walker, M.D., retinal surgeon, assistant clinical professor, Indiana University School of Medicine–Fort Wayne (IUSM-FW)
Schwab and the panel will discuss their views and answer questions from the audience about the Affordable Health Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare), what it has meant for the work that they do, and what effect it might have on them and the rest of the public as it moves forward.
The discussion is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Philosophy, and the Center for Applied Ethics. It is free and open to the public.
