IPFW Hosts 21st Century Scholars - Scholar Success Day

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will host hundreds of area middle and high school students and their families for the 21st Century Scholars - Scholar Success Day on Saturday, March 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This event is set to give students in grades 8 through 12 who are enrolled in the 21st Century Scholars program a chance to learn about what the university has to offer as they plan and prepare for college.

Students and their parents will meet Chancellor Ron Elsenbaumer, attend sessions with representatives of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, take part in workshops, get campus tours, and receive assistance from experts in completing the requirements to receive a 21st Century Scholarship.

There will also be an opportunity for students in grade 12 to begin the early admission process.

“We want to make sure our future students and their families have the information and the support they need in planning for and enrolling here at the university,” said Cicelle Beemon, student outreach coordinator in the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. “We help them create a graduation plan, estimate the cost of college, and search for scholarships.”

Registration is required and can be done online. 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade scholars register here. 11th and 12th-grade scholars register here. Students and their families can also register in person the day of the event.
