FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW’s) College of Art and Sciences’ 2012 University Community Conversations (UC2) presents “Where We Live As a Part of Community Identity,” Monday, March 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Walb Union Ballroom.
“Home” and “community identity” can be difficult to define. In fact, that definition can vary based on a person’s occupation and their own attachment to a physical space. As part of an open house experience, the public is invited to come and join the IPFW conversation when Fort Wayne community leaders discuss the role of housing in building the identity of a community.
Andrew Downs, assistant professor of political science and director of the Downs’ Center for Indiana Politics, will moderate the panel discussion. The panelists are:
- Cindy Joyner, Neighborhood Code Enforcement (NCE)
- Colleen Huddleson, Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) and Architecture and Community Heritage (ARCH)
- Heather Presley-Cowen, Fort Wayne Community Development
- Eric Fisher, Midtowne Realty Inc.
