IPFW Announces 2013 Student Workers of the Year
April 19, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) has 872 student workers on campus; 93 of these are graduate students and 779 are undergrads. They work anywhere from a few hours a week to several hours every day. Their tasks can be anything from answering phones to working on the grounds to teaching classes.
Lives and Struggles of Five Black Youths Showcased in Documentary Film
April 18, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The YWCA of Northeast Indiana and IPFW's Center for Women and Returning Adults and the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs are sponsoring two showings of the documentary film Woke Up Black, along with a discussion with the filmmaker, Mary E. Morton, Thursday, April 25.
The Communicator Wins Awards
April 17, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Communicator, the student-staffed- and-operated newspaper at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), received 11 awards over the weekend at the 2013 Indiana Collegiate Press Association’s annual awards luncheon, hosted by Indiana University–Bloomington.

Senior Interior Design Exhibition Opens in Visual Arts Gallery
April 16, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—How is designing a building for use as a hospital different from designing one for use as a church, restaurant, or assisted living facility? The Third Annual Interior Design Senior Exhibition will allow viewers to discover those differences from Friday April 26, through Sunday, May 19, 2013, in the Visual Arts Gallery located in the lobby of the Visual Arts Building.
IPFW Students, Faculty, and Staff to Help with 2013 Black Barbershop Outreach in Fort Wayne
April 11, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Third Annual Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program takes place this Saturday, April 13, in ten Fort Wayne barbershops. The program began as a grassroots effort to bring health screenings and information to African American men in a place where they feel comfortable—their local barbershops.

April 11, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—A news conference with Omnibus speaker Susan Orlean, journalist and author, will be held for members of the media Thursday, April 18, at 4:15 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 160. A student question-and-answer session will be held before the news conference at 3 p.m. in Liberal Arts Building, Room 116. The media is welcome to attend the class as well.
IPFW Announces Outstanding Academic Advisors of the Year
April 11, 2013 FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne is pleased to announce Joanne Bauman and Sydney Miracle of the Department of Nursing are the 2012–13 Academic Advisors of the Year. The announcement was made today (Thursday, April 11, 2013) at the annual Academic Advising luncheon.
