The bookstore credit is available beginning 5 weeks before classes begin each semester to students who have accepted their financial aid award package and are expecting a refund. It is available for use until the Friday before disbursement week. Disbursement week is always the week before classes begin.
You can only use the bookstore credit at Follett's Bookstore in Walb Union.
Using the bookstore credit is essentially borrowing from your refund before your financial aid pays out. The maximum amount you can use for the bookstore credit is $650. If you need more than that, you will have to wait until you get your refund check.
The amount that you use in the bookstore will be applied to your student account as a charge. Your financial aid funds will then pay it off.
You will not "lose" your bookstore credit money if you don't use it. The amount you do not use will be part of your refund check. Therefore, there is no reason to get a gift card from the bookstore with the rest of your bookstore credit!
To accept the bookstore credit:
Once you have accepted the bookstore credit, it will take at least 1 business day to set up. When your credit is activated, you will receive an email notification to your IPFW student email account from the Bursar's Office.
The process of awarding financial aid for next year has begun! If your award package is ready, you will receive an email at your IPFW student account. Need help viewing and accepting your financial aid awards?
