Paul Helmke Public Policy Scholarship

Criteria

All students who will attain junior status at the beginning of the fall semester for which the award begins and who have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, are eligible to apply. The award is based on merit. Preference will be given to those students who emulate the values of public and community service that have marked the career of Paul Helmke.

Bud Meeks Criminal Justice Scholarship

Criteria

Student must be majoring in Criminal Justice. Recipients are selected based on merit an demonstrated financial need. Submit the IPFW Common Scholarship application, and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) so that it is received at the federal processors by March 10.

SPEA Outstanding Scholar Award

Criteria

Student must be an undergraduate or graduate student in the Division of Public and Environmental Affairs. The award is based on merit. Preference will be given to those students who have taken sufficient classes in the core and their concentration or major to demonstrate outstanding abilities in the field of public and environmental affairs.

Dr. C. James and Susan Owen Scholarship

Criteria

This scholarship is for students who are planning careers in public service. Both undergraduate students (who will have attained junior status by Fall) and graduate students are eligible to apply. The winner of the scholarship will be chosen on the basis of merit. In order to apply, students will need to fill out an application (available in the PEA Office) and submit it to PEA by the deadline date. This scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.

William D. Perry, M.D. Memorial Scholarship

Criteria

Student must be pursuing a degree or certificate program within the College of Health and Human Services or in the Department of Public Policy, public health program. Awards will be based on merit. Student must enroll in a minimum of six credit hours. Selection of a recipient alternates between the College of Health and Human Services and the Department of Public Policy. For 2012-2013 the College of Health and Human Services will be selecting a recipient.
