About Us
The mission of the Military Science Program is to train college men and women to become highly qualified commissioned officers in the United States Army‚ Army National Guard, and United States Army Reserve.
The U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program consists of 2 courses:
- Basic Course: a voluntary 2-year course during freshman and sophomore years with no military obligation
- Advanced Course: a 2-year course during junior and senior years which includes a 5-week summer camp prior to the final year
Service veterans are eligible for academic credit (8 hours) and placement in to the advanced course if they are classified as academic juniors.
Army ROTC provides excellent leadership training and the foundation needed for future military or civilian service.
