Book orders should be submitted directly to Follett's Bookstore, www.ipfw.bkstr.com Choose "Online Adoptions"(scroll to bottom of web page) and Sign In or "Register Here" if this is your first order. Enter 281 in the "Institution Supplied Password" field. Remember final grades must be submitted through OASIS the Monday after final exams week no later than 5pm.
It is imperative that you obtain your ID card for use of the Helmke Library, Folletts Bookstore discounts (especially for software), personal copy card, Gates Sports Center ID, and as proof that you are employed by IPFW. For information about Information Desk hours and requirements go to http://new.ipfw.edu/offices/safety/idcards/.
Most classrooms are unlocked, should you need a key please let us know. Once ordered, you will need to pick the key up at Walb Union Information Desk or it can be arranged to be available at the Police and Safety after 6 p.m. on a particular day or over the weekend.
IT services provides support for a number of classrooms that contain a permanent teacher's lectern with PC and projector as well as audio/video equipment. Currently, the configuration of equipment in these rooms may vary. The following website lists classroom locations with permanent, fixed stations: http://new.ipfw.edu/committees/itco/technology-assisted-teaching/. We recommend that you visit the room you are using to familiarize yourself with how the equipment works.
If your classroom is not equipped with an ITS fixed workstation, you may request a "mobile cart" supported by AV Technology Services (Formerly LRC). Please make your request for portable systems at least two working days before you need the computer by contacting AVTS, at avscheduling@ipfw.edu.
A valid parking permit is required to park in designated "A" (employee) or handicapped parking areas. Unless you have purchased an “A” tag for your car, please park in any area that is not designated as “A” parking. For additional parking information go to http://ipfw.edu/about/maps-directions/parking.html or you may pick up a Parking and Emergency Information brochure with campus map at the Information Desk located in Kettler Hall.

Go to http://new.ipfw.edu/offices/printing/ to send materials to print or if you teach an off-campus Division of Continuing course send print requests to thords01@ipfw.edu. Attach electronic copy, include number of copies needed and special instructions. Allow 3 to 4 business days for delivery.
If your course will require proctored testing, contact Deb Hein, heind@ipfw.edu and provide a copy of your syllabus and/or the testing dates before each semester begins. IPFW students living in Warsaw can take their exams at the IPFW Warsaw Center and need to schedule by calling 574-269-6562. Students living out of the area need to contact Deb Hein for arrangements with a proctor near them.

As part of our emergency preparedness, we are required to have an electronic version of each course syllabus stored on our Division of Continuing Studies server so that we may distribute/redistribute to students if necessary. If your syllabus is posted on your personal or departmental website, please let us know the URL. Please submit an electronic copy of your syllabus to dcscredit@ipfw.edu.

We will establish your faculty user account to enable you to use the IPFW email system. All IPFW communication is conducted through IPFW email accounts, plus instructors need the account to post grades. A representative from our ITS department will contact you with your username and password. YOU THEN MUST ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT. Go to www.ipfw.edu ; click on the orange button “my.ipfw.edu”, choose “first time user” and follow the steps.

*Canceling for Non-weather Related Purposes:
As an instructor, you are responsible for notifying your class of any class cancellation; we will not notify the students for you unless it is an extreme emergency. On OASIS there is a link at the bottom of the class roster page to automatically e-mail your class.

*Technology short courses (free to IPFW faculty and staff)
Courses are available on various pieces of software (e.g., spreadsheets and word processing) and resources (e.g., Internet and e-mail).
