The Visual Arts Building (VA) houses more than a dozen large, well-equipped studios for ceramics, drawing, metalsmithing, painting, printmaking and sculpture, as well as computer labs and lecture and audiovisual rooms. Including indoor and outdoor kilns.  Student access to the building is generous; most advanced students receive individual work spaces within the Visual Arts building in their respective areas of concentration.

Fine Arts has space in the Dolnick Learning Center (DLC), located across Crescent Avenue in a very scenic and rustic area at the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center (FWSDC). The DLC classrooms are currently shared by Ivy Tech, the IPFW School of Education and VPA’s art and music programs. The Department of Fine Arts has created eight art studios at DLC for use by art students to develop their work in secure spaces in which they can have 24 hour access giving artist students the flexibility to commit extended hours to their artistic endeavors.
