Melinda Haines took the helm as the director of the Community Arts Academy (CAA) in January 2012. “I’m excited to continue the fine programming for which the CAA is known, but also increase the scope of the classes over time as well as increase the number of students participating,” explained Haines, "I encourage anyone with class ideas or suggestions to contact me."
Haines holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kenyon College and has had an extensive career working in community relations, graphic design and marketing. She has served as a freelance designer for the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, Fort Wayne Ballet, Northeast Indiana Public Radio, WFWA/PBS39, Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Three Rivers Festival.
