Society of Physics Students
The physics club is a happy few, a bond of brothers and sisters with an interest in physics. Activities include monthly meetings with pizza, speakers from local industry, student research presentations, projects such as bottle rockets and trebuchets, and field trips. Come stand with us, or forever hold yourself cheap.
Contact Drew Elliot, club president, for membership information and date of next scheduled meeting.
Distinguished Physics Major Award
The award is presented each April at the College of Arts and Sciences Awards Banquet to the physics junior or senior student voted by the faculty to be most distinguished in the areas of course work, student research, student teaching, and physics-related service. The award consists of a certificate and a book or software useful in future physics studies.
