The major in philosophy is a traditional humanities and liberal-arts program. At IPFW, our
philosophy courses cover the principle divisions and branches of philosophy with a strong
emphasis on the history and evolution of higher thinking throughout human history. This program
offers a great foundation for continuing studies in philosophy. The major also serves as a
pre-professional program for the ministry, law, or health sciences.
