Dr. Mustafa's general interests include animal physiology and aquaculture. His recent research interests include stress and its effects in farmed animals, especially fish and shellfish to identify physiological and endocrinological changes that occur in stressed animals, changes that affect growth, reproduction, health, and disease resistance, and to identify the problems of pathogens and environments which are responsible for causing stress in animals.
