Step One: Explore all of IPFW's majors, especially the degrees College of Arts & Science (COAS) has to offer!

Step Two: Visit our campus by contacting the Office of Admissions, and make an appointment during Don Days or Spring/Fall Campus Visit days. Don't forget to check out Student Housing!

Step Three: Check out IPFW's student organizations, a great way to get involved, build resumes, network, and have a great time!

Step Four: Contact an advisor, who can answer any of your questions regarding the major you are interested in. If you are interested in a transfer program  or any COAS degree, contact a College of Arts & Sciences advisor directly.

Step Five: What are you waiting for? Contact the Office of Admissions.

New Student Orientation

Beginning students and transfer students entering IPFW with fewer than 15 credit hours will be required to complete New Student Orientation. Based on IPFW admit status, your New Student Orientation is outlined below:

Fall Admits: New Student Orientation will include both online and on campus components. You will receive information from Student Life regarding completion of the online portion of New Student Orientation. When you have completed the online portion, you will select a date (based on your major) to come to campus. You can expect to be on campus for a half day session including: obtaining your Student ID, meeting other students from IPFW, meeting with your department, and planning and registering for your classes.

Spring/Summer Admits: You will receive information from Student Life regarding how to complete the online portion of New Student Orientation. When you have completed the online portion of orientation, you may contact your advisor to discuss your major and select your classes. Your advisor’s name can be located under your “Enrollment" tab on the myIPFW website under “Academic Profile” (view a screenshot). If you have trouble locating your advisor’s name, or if an advisor is not listed, please contact a COAS advisor.
