The IPFW Graduate Nursing Program offers a degree, Master of Science with a major in nursing.
The four areas of concentration are:
The graduate program is offered completely online except for two courses that require a one or two day on-campus experience. NUR 50300 Advanced Physical Assessment includes a two-day, on-campus intensive physical assessment skills and checks with standardized patients. NUR 68200 Synthesis and Application, requires a seminar day on campus to present your graduate capstone project at the Nursing Spectacular.
Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is a member of the Purdue Graduate Nursing Consortium which includes the nursing departments of Purdue West Lafayette and Purdue Calumet. This consortium provides inter-campus graduate education by sharing technology, faculty, and clinical resources from the nursing departments affiliated with Purdue University. The Purdue consortium helps provides resources that make Purdue graduate nursing education accessible and attractive to nurses who want to advance their careers.
