 Dr. Kerrie Fineran is an assistant professor in the Counselor Education Program and serves as coordinator of the school counseling program. Originally from Fort Wayne, she earned her B.S. from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where she was also a NCAA Division I student athlete (swimming). Dr. Fineran went on to obtain her M.Ed. from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Toledo. Dr. Fineran's research interests include counselor preparation; suicide assessment, prevention, and postvention; and working with individuals with substance and behavioral addictions. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the International Association of Addictions and Offender Counselors, Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor Society, and numerous state and local organizations.
