You are responsible for satisfying the graduation requirements for your selected program. It is essential that you develop a thorough understanding of the required courses and policies. All requests for exceptions to specific requirements must be made in writing and may be granted only by written approval from the appropriate department chair.
Doermer School of Business participates in the Academic Renewal Option for eligible students returning to IPFW after an absence of five or more years. Information about this option appears in Part 7 of the Bulletin.
Maximum enrollment per semester is 21 credit hours. If you wish to enroll in more than 17 hours you must have reached sophomore standing, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have the permission of your academic advisor.
You may take up to two courses per semester for a grade of NP/P with a maximum of two such courses each year. You may apply a maximum of 12 credits of pass/not-pass grades toward a bachelor’s degree or a maximum of 6 credits toward an associate degree. Pass/ no-pass is not acceptable for any required course, only free electives.

Doermer School of Business does not award experiential credit. Credit awarded on this basis, regardless of its source, will not apply toward an IPFW business degree.
You are on academic probation upon completion of a semester or summer session in which you fail to earn a semester GPA of 2.0 or higher or your cumulative GPA falls below a 2.0.
If you have been admitted to one of the majors in the BSB program, you will be dismissed from the degree program immediately upon completion of a semester or summer session that results in your cumulative GPA falling below 2.0
At least two weeks before you register for your final classes that will complete your degree requirements, you must notify the school of your intention to graduate. You will need to set up an appointment for a degree audit with your advisor and also fill out the online graduation application located on the registrar’s office Web site.
Your final 15 consecutive credits must be completed at IPFW after you have been admitted to the AS program. You are allowed four calendar years to complete the AS degree. If it takes you longer than four years, you will be required to meet the degree requirements specified in the most current IPFW Bulletin.
