Professor For A Day, Matt Barnes

Richard T. Doermer School of Business (DSB) hosted Matt Barnes, as Professor for a Day, on February 12. Matt is a financial consultant at ProFed Financial Advisors (a subsidiary of ProFed Federal Credit Union) Matt attained his MBA at IPFW in 1991.

Barnes met with DSB faculty and students at a luncheon for faculty and students in the Rhinehart Building. Following lunch, Barnes visited two classes, met with DSB Dean Otto Chang, and visited an evening class.

The Professor for a Day program is designed to introduce faculty and students to contemporary business issues faced by northeast Indiana business firms. Professors for a Day are invited to speak to upper level undergraduate and MBA students in policy and strategy courses. That person opens the session with a topic that is contemporary and relevant to his or her organization, explains the situation and its impact on the organization's business model, shares the company's approach to resolution, and invites student input and questions.
