The Doermer School of Business Student Center provides valuable information to business and pre-business students about the School’s admission process, scholarships designated for business majors, and organizations and opportunities for business students.
The Student Center provides academic counseling to business students about courses and schedules for the associates degree, the bachelors degree, and the post baccalaureate certificate in accounting.
Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Cooperative Education program provides students with employment opportunities while pursuing a degree.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Accounting Society is to prepare accounting students for professional roles in the field of accounting and in the business world.
To accomplish that mission, the Accounting Society sponsors meetings, events, and activities with the following objectives:
- Assist accounting students in the selection of an area
of specialization in the accounting profession
- Grant accounting students the opportunity to relate to
individuals at all levels of the accounting curriculum
- Promote collegiality and fellowship among individuals involved in the accounting program
- Provide service to the university and the community
The Finance Society is an organization geared towards developing professional relationships not found in a classroom setting.
We will bring local finance professionals to our monthly finance meetings to present their work and offer suggestions for now and after graduation.
Its never too late to plan for post-graduation and the Finance Society can help solidify business relationships now.
