Dr. Miller received her Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1998.
Dr. Miller’s teaching interests include ethics for administrators, organizational behavior, public management, public policy implementation, statistics and research methods.
Dr. Miller is the founding director of The Institute For Pension Plan Management, one of IPFW’s Centers of Excellence. A model community partnership project, the IPPM provides distance learning training for the credentialing programs of the American Society of Pension Plan Professionals, as well as various types of hybrid training for the retirement savings industry in general. Community partners include the Fort Wayne Allen County Economic Development Alliance, the Indiana Department of Economic Development, and Lincoln Life Insurance. Dr. Miller also serves as a trustee on the Employee Benefits Research Institute in Washington, DC., the nation’s top think-tank in the area of retirement benefits where she takes an active role in research analysis.
