Biography

Dr. Steven Hanke received his D.B.A. in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in 2008.  He joined the faculty of the Richard T. Doermer School of Business in 2008.   

Interests and Research

Professor Hanke’s research interests include taxation (law and policy) and accounting education.  His research has appeared in various publication outlets including Advances in Accounting, Journal of Applied Business Research, Journal of Financial Planning, Managerial Finance, Practical Tax Strategies, and The Tax Adviser.

Dr. Hanke’s teaching interests include taxation (individual and business entities) and financial accounting.  Professor Hanke emphasizes tax research and financial statement analysis. 

Community

Professor Hanke is a member of the American Accounting Association and North American Accounting Society.
