John Cage’s 100th birthday celebration continues with an exciting concert featuring the work of this American composer. A pioneer of electroacoustic music and non-standard use of musical instruments, Cage was one of the leading figures of the post-war avant-garde. Critics have lauded him as one of the most influential American composers of the 20th century. The concert features IPFW students, members of the IPFW faculty including Robert Bean, Melanie Bookout, Julie Donnell, Laura Lydy, Steve Sarratore, Eric Schweikert, Hamilton Tescarollo and Farrell Vernon, along with guest artists Jason Markzon (Fort Wayne Philharmonic) and John Mark Rozendaal (NYC).
