Visiting Students

No two journeys are the same.

At IPFW, there are four different types of visiting students:

• Temporary Students
• Guest Students
• Bachelor's Degree Holders

Temporary Students

If you graduated high school more than two years ago and have never attended college, you may take up to 24 credits as a special non-degree-seeking adult student.

• You will need to submit an application
• There is no application fee, and no other documentation is necessary
• Temporary students are not eligible for financial aid

Guest Students

If you want to become a visiting student from another college outside the Indiana or Purdue University system, you may enroll temporarily at IPFW for up to 24 credits.

• You will need to submit an application
• There is no application fee, but you're required to submit an official transcript from your home institution
• Guest students are not eligible for financial aid

Bachelor's Degree Holder

If you have a bachelor’s degree and wish to take undergraduate courses but do not wish to pursue another undergraduate degree, you may take up to 24 undergraduate credits as a temporary student.

• You will need to submit an application
• There is no application fee and no other documentation is necessary
• Special college graduates are not eligible for financial aid

Admissions Appeal Process

To appeal an admissions decision the applicant must submit a written statement to the Admissions Appeals Committee explaining how, regard of past academic record, he or she is prepared to be successful in university studies. The statement must be typed and go no longer than. one page. Student name, mailing address and contact information should be included.
