At IPFW, there are different categories of transfer students based on what institutions you attended previously:
If you’re a transfer student from within the IU or Purdue campus-wide systems, you’re known as an “intercampus transfer student” and classified as either temporary or permanent.

Note: Academic departments may review courses and transfer credits from institutions not holding regional accreditation.
To appeal an admission decision the applicant must submit a written statement to the Admissions Appeals Committee explaining how, regardless of past academic record, he or she is prepared to be successful in university studies. The statement must be typed and no longer than one page. Student name, mailing address and contact information should be included. The decision of the committee will be sent in writing and is final.
